To provide, facilitate, sponsor, and organize recreational boating activities for members and the general public;
To provide educational resources for youth and adults.
And to promote safety and competence during water-related functions.
The SSA meets its objectives each year by organizing and facilitating weekly sailboat racing and hosting various regattas; organizing and facilitating youth and adult sailing classes throughout the summer; hosting social events for members and others interested in sailing; and a host of off season activities to support our objectives.
The club is a 501c3 and is funded in part by sponsorship, grants, membership and race fees and YOUR DONATIONS. The club is governed by a member elected board of officers and directors. The 2020 board of officers and directors are:
