SSA is situated out of Windbag Marina in the scenic town of Sandpoint, Idaho. The marina is conveniently located downtown, and sailing takes place just outside the marina on the waters of Lake Pend Orielle from May-October.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, SSA strives to promote sailing and camaraderie within the North Idaho community. In addition to competitive racing, SSA offers a junior sailing program, as well as weekly evenings where all members of the community interested in sailing are welcome to participate in a fun race with an experienced captain and a cookout to follow.

SSA owns and maintains a fleet of Hobie Holders, as well as a Catalina Capri 18, which are available for use by club members.
